§ 6.10.010. County provisions adopted.

(a)

This chapter shall be known and may be referred to in all proceedings as the Animal Control Ordinance.

(b)

Except as provided in this chapter, Title 10 (Animals) of the Los Angeles County Code, as amended through Ordinance No. 2013-0033, being the animal control ordinance of the County of Los Angeles, is adopted by reference, with the exception of Chapter 10.90, relating to fees, as the animal control ordinance of the City and may be cited as such. Said ordinance shall regulate the care, custody, licensing, impounding, maintaining, sale and exhibition of animals.

(c)

Notwithstanding the provisions of this chapter, the specific provisions of any contract between the City and the Pasadena Humane Society shall supersede the provisions of Los Angeles County Ordinance No. 2013-0033.

(d)

Zoning regulations regarding farm animals shall continue to be governed by the provisions of Section 9.124.020.

(e)

Animal control fees shall be adopted by resolution of the City Council.

(f)

A copy of said County ordinance has been and is now on file in the Office of the City Clerk and may be examined by the public.
